The final part of Discovery’s Winter Cruise Program takes her from the palm-fringed Pacific islands of Tahiti all the way to Europe, for the pomp and pageantry of London.
In between are some of South America’s most extraordinary man-made wonders. Giant cities that echo civilizations long lost. Evidence of human ingenuity, including forbidding stepped pyramids and entire cities mapped out over hundreds of acres.
We’ll take you to Chiclayo in Peru, home to the recently opened Lord of Sipan Museum which celebrates one of the greatest archaeological finds since Tutankhamen.
And we’ll explore phenomena like the mysterious Nazca Lines, to ponder whether these are the work of man or the work of nature. Perhaps most unique of all will be the opportunity to experience a total eclipse of the sun – right in the heart of the Pacific.
